In love with Slideshare
At the expense of sounding like a complete wannabe, Slideshare is cool man ! It rocks !
Exams have been disastrous this sem. Two major reasons being – solving cryptic crosswords on pagalguy 7 hours before your paper and spending hours on end the previous day surfing slideshare.
Slideshare is a simple simple thing. You have a ppt/pdf/doc. You upload. It converts to slideshare format. And then you can embed the slideshare format to your blog, site and what not.
We had presentation techniques as part of our curriculum this sem for which we did a project on cartoons. Here’s the slideshared version of the ppt. Bouquets and brickbats encouraged.

and yeah, coz of TV cartoons, print cartoons suffer.. there are soo many people who don’t know about print cartoons.. not interested!
maybe you could’ve put in 1 or 2 of the best comic strips of C&H/ Peanuts/ Dilbert / Garfield / Pearls Before Swine etc just to make people aware of the kind of humour.
or even 1/2 of the best of Amul hoardings.. Test tube baby is not thaaat great… my opinion
for someone who does not any of these characters, other than the general information about the strip, there wasn’t much to offer. but it appealed to me coz i knew atleast something about these comics.
I’m still getting over the fact that Snoopy was mentioned under ‘ SIDE CHARACTERS’

@ D – Erm. Points taken. But we had about 30+ slides whereas the norm was 20. Further additions would have like taken the slide count beyond acceptance.
We did have dollops of wit and humour in our explanation part. Ekdum Calvin style. But I do not know what proportion of it was accepted by the audience
