Most of us loved this article of yours in the magazine.It is something which we must actually ponder about.Some people are gifted with an artistic talent,others have to cultivate one and doing it is just so difficult even if you enjoy doing so because your academic expectations and goals must be realized too.But,one thing I must say is I relate to your experience and reading this was a great learning experience in terms of words

Don’t you think the above post is more than enough to disqualify your theory of you being anti- art?
Since when was writing not a part of the genre?
I mean, yea, you cant really flaunt your writing skills in front of a bunch of 60 during impromtu talent shows, but nonetheless,it doesn’t not make you an artist in your own right.

Appreciation indeed.

P.S- What is this Robert Prisig novel you talk about boy?

why are you not sure about giving your gre?

very well written; and you need try to culitivate a conventional art.
my only talent is drawing and that is not going to win me any on-stage talent competitions!!

it is not that necessary to know a conventional art form…art can be anything you like doing…management can be an art…getting sponsors can be an art…:P
but it is not at all necessary to be an exponent of any conventional ‘art’

Agreed. Art makes you complete. It’s what you resort to when everything else has failed you or just to raise your spirits or just for the heck of it! Something you love. The only thing I can do (and not too well) is dance. It makes me happy and complete like nothing else!

And it’s never too late to learn something you are inclined towards.

Rightly said.Art has an immense domain.I doubt any ‘Artistic’ person would ever dare to write another one off.Inspite of being panoptic, Art for me has always been encircling, as the primary motive of any form of art is devoid of anything materialistic.That’s exactly why i wouldn’t have wanted to start an Advertising Agency for an Impetus inspite of being disinformed that i had all credibility to start one.In retrospect,Pratap’s post also carries an underground message of Farting being an Art!.Real Good.:)
